- Every alternator is endurance tested on the most advanced dyno tester in the industry, DV Electronics/Alt-98, to ensure the correct performance specs and durability.
- Pure Power has redesigned this alternator using a 4 pin style regulator which is different than the OEM 2 pin style ECU controlled alternator. This new design improves performance by eliminating voltage fluctuation customers often get from other manufactures brands. Your new Pure Power alternator is designed to bypass the RVC charging system by simply connecting the red wire, coming from the preinstalled regulator wire harness, to a tested 12 volt switched source. You’ll then take the original 2 pin plug that was connected to your old alternator and plug it directly to the 2 PIN BYPASS MODULE, we provided. Upon completion there should be no check battery light and your voltage will be strong and stable.

Installation Notes:This unit comes equipped with a smaller alternator pulley, and we recommend using a ½ inch shorter drive belt for proper belt tension. For information and help to identify your current belt size and locating the ½ inch shorter belt size needed, refer to our Technical Notes, Reducing Your Vehicle's Belt Size | TAE (tucsonalternator.com). Our smaller drive pulley is not recommended for sustained use above 5,500 RPM engine speeds.
