Designed with the positive battery stud coming off the side helps avoid any engine clearance issues. Our easy to install 1 wire to any ignition switched 12V+ source turns the alternator on and off with your ignition switch. All that is required to achieve maximum performance from your new Pure Power alternator is install a properly sized positive and ground cable from the alternator to the battery terminals, regardless of what kind of wiring harness you have

• Installation Note:
  This unit comes equipped with a smaller alternator pulley, and we recommend using a ½ inch shorter drive belt for proper belt tension. For information and help to identify your current belt size and locating the ½ inch shorter belt size needed, refer to our Technical Notes, Reducing Your Vehicle's Belt Size | TAE (tucsonalternator.com). Our smaller drive pulley is not recommended for sustained use above 5,500 RPM engine speeds.
